Detailed description

1.Day –  Tallinn Old Town (B/D)

Arrival in Tallinn. The next day and a half will be spent in the Estonian capital of Tallinn. The most remarkable sightseeing of Tallinn is certainly the medieval Old Town, which belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage list. Our first walk along  the cobblestone streets takes us to a cozy restaurant, where we will get to experience the traditional Estonian kitchen. How does it taste? Accomotation and dinner in Tallinn

2.Day – Tallinn Old Town/Lahemaa NP (B/D)

After breakfast we will head to Toompea hill, where impressive buildings, such as the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral catch the eye. Walking down from the higher parts, the road takes us to Tallinn Town Hall, which lies in the heart of the Hanseatic old town. If you feel a bit cold, a traditional glühwein will warm you up and help you get into a real winter mood. In the afternoon, we will say goodbye to the city life and head out to the countryside. The next nights will be spent in a cozy country house snuggled between fields and forests.

3.Day – Snowshoeing in Lahemaa NP (B/P)

Today we will put on snowshoes and explore the surrounding wilderness. No artificial noises, no stress, just pure nature. Walking on the soft snow through a winter wonderland will help everyone to get into a real holiday-mood. The snowshoes take us to places where its otherwise impossible to go and a our experienced guide reads the the tracks that cross our path – was it Elk, Wolf or Deer? To get the full outdoor experience, we will warms us up with hot tea and snacks made on the campfire.

4.Day – Husky farm and kick-sledding (B)

Another active day awaits as as we head out to Paasiku Husky Farm, where we learn everything about the world of sled dogs. Meeting up man’s best friends will make you forget all the troubles in the world and load you with positive energy for a long time. From Paasiku starts also the kick-sledding tour. Ploughing almost silently through the snow can be done both alone or with a four-pawed friend.

5.Day – Bog-walking and Sauna (B/P)

There are several peat bogs in Lahemaa National Park and exploring one of them will be the main activity of the day. These unique landscapes are remarkable throughout the year, but it’s the winter time when the frozen wetland can carry also heavier animals and our experienced guide knows how to “read” the tracks left in the snow. Later on, we’ll visit Palmse Manor, which is the grandest baroque mansion in Estonia. The day will end with an authentic sauna experience.

6.Day – Departure.

After the breakfast we drive directly to Tallinn International Airport. Nägemiseni! – means, see you soon in Estonian.
